  The rapid increase in world-wide energy consumption has emphasized the need for efficient use of electrical energy.   Monolith Semiconductor has developed high-voltage Silicon Carbide switches with far superior performance compared to silicon devices. Monolith's novel device structure and manufacturing processes drastically reduce the cost of Silicon Carbide switches and make it accessible to wide variety of applications including renewable energy inverters, power supplies, industrial motor drives, electric vehicles and a smarter electrical grid.
